A cultural/HR audit is a workplace assessment tool that helps you to gather information relating to the practices, behavior and culture of your workplace, assess what your organization is doing well, identify areas that need improvement, and determine the root causes of any conflicts or problems in the workplace.

A cultural/HR audit helps an organization understand whether its human resources and cultural practices help, hinder, or have little impact on its business goals. It is also an invaluable tool for proactively checking the health and “pulse” of your organization to identify and address issues before they spiral out of control.

Typically, in conducting a cultural/HR audit, we will:

  • Determine the scope and type of audit that is needed, and provide you with a quote;
  • Develop and administer the audit questionnaire;
  • Conduct interviews with staff, management and necessary stakeholders;
  • Review the organization’s HR policies and practices; and
  • Provide you with a report of our findings and recommendations.

Once the audit is complete, IWL will also advise you on how best to address identified shortcomings and improve processes, assist you with revising HR policies and procedures, and provide coaching and training, etc., if you wish to engage our services for these purposes.
